The generosity shown for the “Whitestone Christmas House Tours” means everything to us at the Colonial Beach Historical Society and Museum, and to the community we serve.
We raised over $12,000.00 this year that will benefit our Students, the Museum and the programs we offer. A huge a “Thank You” to our Homeowners, the Moran’s of Lyellton House, the Millers & Austriaco’s of Wide River, the Browns of Wine Knot, the Coopers of Sunset Cottage the Dillons & Seeber’s of Sunsets Chany, the Fitzpatrick’s of Bay Breeze Cottage, and Ms. Schuck of The Bayview. It was a mix of homes from prior tours with history and new homes all filled with beautiful decorations, love and history. We appreciate all that opened their homes.
Another huge “Thank You” to our Volunteers, Ms. Megan Reynolds, Ms. Caryn Self-Sullivan, Ms. Angela Calos, Ms. Sandy Reinhart, Ms. Sheri Swerdgerer, Ms. Tracey Cannady, Ms. Susan Greenberg, Ms. Lorrie Gore, Mr. Scott Lindsey, Mr. Dan Wildman, Ms. Cathy Bokman, Ms. Francis Westfall, Ms. Caroline Piram, Ms. Deborah Newman, Ms. Kelly Woods Vaughn and Ms. Mitzi Saffos.
One last “Thank You” to Dan Wildman and Scott Lindsey to opening their home Foxhaven for our reception closing out a wonderful tour in honoring Ms. Betty Whitestone.
On behalf of the Colonial Beach Historical Society & Museum, we are so grateful. Wishing all those that supported us this year and throughout the year a very Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year!
