Join us for Genealogy 101: Discovering Your Family History with guest speaker Rosemary Mahan, a professional genealogist and former Executive Director and Genealogy Research Librarian at the Westmoreland County Museum.
During her tenure, Rosemary specialized in uncovering rich historical narratives through detailed genealogical research, working extensively with deeds, vital records, wills, and other primary documents. With a deep focus on the Northern Neck region, she has helped countless individuals trace their family histories and better understand their connection to local heritage.
Committed to the highest Genealogical Proof Standards, Rosemary is known for producing accurate and meaningful family histories that preserve and honor the stories of past generations. She also serves as Vice Regent of the Leedstown Resolutions Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR), where she is actively involved in promoting historic preservation, education, and patriotism.
