The 1st Annual Watermen's Festival was a Success!!
What an incredible day! On behalf of the Colonial Beach Historical Society & Museum Team, we want to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who came out for our 1st Annual Watermen’s Festival, honoring the hardworking Watermen who are such an important part of our community, history, and heritage.
Our community truly showed up! Seeing so many people come together to celebrate and support our Watermen meant more to us than we can say. From the conversations and stories to the demonstrations and wonderful feedback, we believe our first festival made an impact — and you’ve already got us excited about making it even bigger next year!
A very special thank you to Denson's Chesapeake Bay Farm to Table Catering, Colonial Beach Brewing and Nothing Bundt Cakes for providing the delicious food and drinks that helped make the day so special.
Thank you to the Virginia Waterman's Association for joining us and providing live demonstrations that gave our guests an up-close look at the skills, traditions, and work of Virginia’s Watermen.
